Accepted: application of Zulkaljin

Post by kxzaph on Thu Dec 11, 2014 12:04 am

Character name:
Zulkaljin

Level, race, spec and class:
100, Troll, Frost Mage

Current equipped item level:
632

Age and occupation:
24, Various construction.

Geographical location:
UK

State the reasons you chose your current class and spec:
I originally rolled Warlock at WoD launch, but after getting my mage to level 100 I once again realised why I loved the class. Frost especially was a favourite of mine in Mists. The instant cast procs are great fun, and the burst dps isn't bad either.
I enjoyed Arcane too. Fire not so much, felt it was to reliant on getting super big combustion hits. As fun as throwing pyroblast was.

Do you have any other raid-ready characters that you could/wish to use? If yes, please state character names, levels, races, specs and classes.
Yes. Zaphrek: 100, Orc, Destro/Demo Lock

Your current professions:
Engineering and Skinning.

Provide a screenshot of your UI and a relevant damage/healing meter:

State your currently installed addons:
Skada
Quartz
Postal
(Will install any addons required by the guild, I just try to keep my UI clean.)

Previous guild(s):
Wrath: Synergy
Cata: Synergy > Internet Protocool
Mists: The Bear Necessities
Warlords: Solaris > Diretide

Current guild:
Diretide

State your reason for leaving your current guild:
It's just a guild with a few real life friends. Not a raiding guild. I would like to raid.

State your expectations of Unforgiven:
Providing raids which are full of driven people. I want to raid at a high standard, just not the super hardcore style of 7 night raid guilds. Hoping to receive that here. And of course, have as much fun as possible while playing. I like to have fun in between pulls, just focus during fight time.

Are you capable of vocal communication through TeamSpeak?
Yes, i use teamspeak daily.

How do you handle criticism?
Very well. Always looking to improve on any aspect of the game. Any tips or criticism on my class, fight mechanics or just anything really is always welcome.

Are there any current Unforgiven members that you know?
No, there are not.

Are you capable of showing up on our three raiding days, not including special irl events?
I am.

Give us a summary of your background and interests:
Besides playing WoW, I enjoy other computer games like Dota 2 and RPG's. I watch a large amount of TV, currently Arrow, Flash, Person of Interest, among many many others. I also listen to a stupidly sad amount of kpop.

Where did you take note of our recruitment?
WoW Progress.

Thanks for taking the time to read my application.
Zaph.

Thank you for your application!

How come you do not have DBM or a similar addon installed for raiding?

For what reason do you go with 2 crit enchants and 2 multistrike enchants rather than enchanting one stat?

Please leave your answers to these questions in a reply to this topic.

I found dbm to be overkill during bosses. The amount of emotes and ability cues done by bosses these days are huge. That being said, if it's preferred I use it. That's fine. My raiding guild in Wrath required it so I'm not a stranger to the addon.

I've never used BigWigs however, but I assume it's pretty much the same.

No real reason for having different enchants, except they were bought at different times. I was trying fire briefly when I bought the crit enchants so default went for the stat I needed in the spec I was last playing.
I'll be getting the next tier ring tomorrow, and I'll be going with multistrike once I get it.

Thanks for the speedy response, and apologies for my slower one.

It is very true that the game itself has made a lot of changes so for basic raiding, addons such as DBM are not needed. For a more stressful progression environment however, it is advised to use the addon so you can look at the timers at all times and not get caught off guard.

I will have one last talk with my officers and come back to you with an answer.

Alright, sorry for the delay but it has been rather busy!

We agreed on giving you a trial, so just whisper anyone with raider rank or above for an invite. The officers will set your rank as soon as they log on.

Please install DBM and EPGP Lootmaster as well.
